As we’ve discussed over the past year, The Knowledge Exchange is a really exciting opportunity for FinWx members to give back to the community, in particular students and early career professionals.
The Knowledge Exchange is a digital platform to connect Mentors (Givers) with Mentees (Takers) on various topics from coding to applying for a job. Think Facebook with a side of Google Calendar for efficient mentoring. By setting up an account, you define what skills you have to offer the pool of "takers" as well as convenient days/times (think virtual "office hours") to engage as a "giver."
Over the past year, Dave Margolin, who is a member of the Mind the Gap Ad Hoc Committee, has developed this platform and is hoping the pool of both givers and takers can increase modestly as the next step toward full operations.
ACTION: Please share this opportunity!!
ACTION: Please also add your narrative!!
Please set up an account and take the personal goal of at least one hour of mentoring for 2021.
Mentoring, beyond just being the right thing to do to give back, helps ensure the next generation is well equipped to take on the challenges of today and tomorrow.
